BACKGROUND SIGNS FOR TONKA OR DRAGLINE DIGGERS
Background signs for post 1960 machines with pre-set stops, usually called “Draglines” or “Tonka” diggers.
If you are doing a digger project by building your own cabinet, or restoring an old cabinet, these signs can add a nice touch when mounted to the background, one on each side of the actual digger. One side sign has the playing instructions for any all-mechanical digger with 6 stops in rotation, and the opposite side sign has an historical synopsis of the mechanical type of digger commonly built in the 1960’s. The signs are printed on heavy paper and can be mounted in frames behind glass or coated with clear lacquer (Krylon is good) and glued to the back, or over other artwork.
