DECO ERA DIGGER VIDEO - BY KEN KEMP, WITH JAMES ROLLER

In 2005 Ken Kemp visited and interviewed James Roller who operates the only website and restoration studio in the world dedicated exclusively to diggers. This 30 min. DVD was produced as an historical record.
A number of different makes and models were on hand and the filmmaker produced a fine record of them for the collector/investor who is interested in antique cranes and how they were operated years ago.
Jim comments on many of the machines.
Some of the makes and models that are shown are:
- The Panama Digger
- 1934 Electric Traveling Crane
- Exhibit Supply ‘Blue Streak’ (with animation in motion)
- Mutoscope “Red Top Crane”
- Perfectly Original Erie Digger
- Exhibit Supply “Novelty Merchantman”
- 1932-33 Original Mutoscope model
- Buckley “Deluxe”
- Moss Skill Crane
- Authentic merchandise
- Playfield set-up
- Carnival memories
- Euro diggers
With the current absence of any comprehensive books about diggers of the 1930’s this DVD is a good basic reference for anyone interested in the history and collecting of this important coin-op category.
